Regarding the Knowledge of God
We believe there is only one God. He has revealed Himself to us as our Heavenly Father through His Son, Jesus Christ, and His nature is the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh. He is both fully God and fully man.
Reference: Deuteronomy 6:4, Ephesians 4:4–6, Colossians 2:9, 1 Timothy 3:16
Regarding Sin and Salvation
We believe that all people are sinners and are in need of salvation. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, given to believers through faith in the atonement accomplished by Jesus Christ through His sacrifice on the cross.
Reference: Romans 3:23–25, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8–9
Regarding the Gospel
We believe that the Gospel means “good news”: that Jesus Christ the Lord died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead.
We obey the Gospel of God:
- Through repentance (death to a sinful life)
- Through being baptized by immersion in water in the holy name of Jesus Christ (burial with Christ)
- Through receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with speaking in tongues as the sign of the baptism of the Holy Spirit (spiritual resurrection)
Reference: 1 Corinthians 15:1–4, Acts 2:4, Acts 2:37–39, Romans 6:3–4, 2 Thessalonians 1:8, 1 Peter 4:17
Regarding Christian Life
We believe that as Christians we must love both God and people. Our inner life (spiritual life) and our outward life must be holy in every way, and we should worship God with joy.
Receiving the Spirit of God is a supernatural gift for healing, freedom, and ministry in the Church.
Reference: Mark 12:28–31, 2 Corinthians 7:1, Hebrews 12:14, 1 Corinthians 12:8–10
Regarding the Future
We believe that Jesus Christ will return and receive His Church unto Himself (the catching away of the Church).
There will be the final judgment and the last resurrection. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the wicked will inherit eternal death.
